Principles of Health - It's Time to Stop Fighting Disease
It's time to stop waging the massive war on fighting disease. This war has become a
multi-billion dollar industry that has created more "health
care programs" and more prescription drugs that "treat
or cure" the thousands of diseases we now have.
With the highest number of health care workers and the most prescription drugs available
per person in the world, you'd think we'd be the
healthiest population in the world. But guess what - we are the sickest population on the planet!
Look at the latest statistics:
- The number 1 cause of death in our children, age 0-15 years,
is now cancer.
- Around the year 1900, 1 in 1000's of adults would get cancer. Now, it's 1 out of every 2 or 3 people.
- Diabetes has quadrupled since the 1970's.
- Cancer has now surpassed heart disease as the number one killer of adults.
- Properly prescribed prescription drugs are one of the top ten killers due dangerous drug complications.
According to a recent
Harvard study, every 30 seconds in the United States, someone
files for bankruptcy in the aftermath of a serious health
problem.
The reasons are complex, but we have really lost out way when it comes to health. And not
surprisingly, most people believe that health is a by-product of taking one or many of the thousands of drugs available for their ailments.
Think about it - if all the pills and drugs we have been taking cured our health issues, wouldn't we eventually be able to stop taking them?
If you have a headache - it doesn't mean you have an aspirin deficiency.
Obviously, fighting disease has not been working. Health is not a mystery, and
it's time for us to remember how to "Embrace Health".
Why Are We the Sickest Generation Ever?
There are many reasons why this has happened - here are just a
few.
1.
The food we eat. We have become slaves to life-less
fast foods, micro-waved meals, sugar, un-healthy fats and snacks
as well as artificial sweeteners. Also, our foods are now laden
with many types of chemicals - whether it's hormone or
antibiotic treated dairy and meat products or artificial chemical
compounds and preservatives. Many of these chemicals contribute to cancer and disease.
2. Inadequate nutrition for our body. Our soils have become depleted of the minerals and nutrients REQUIRED for a healthy life. Therefore, the plants that grow in the soil, and the food animals that eat from these plants are nutrient deficient. Organic foods and natural, free-range meats are the way to go, however, even they do not contain all the nutrients necessary for optimal health. Whole food concentrates (like marine phytoplankton and pure concentrated plant materials) are necessary to rebuild a health life.
3. Environmental toxins in our body. Did you know that the
average American is contaminated with 91 different toxins? These
range from pesticides to flame retardants to heavy metals to
insecticides. Did you know that according to the World Health Organization (WHO)
environmental toxins/chemicals account for 80% of all cancers? Also, our bodies store many of
these toxins in our fat to protect us - also leading to being
overweight.
4. Our bodies are too acidic. Did you know that 97% of all
the known diseases are related to our body pH? Diseases like Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia,
Diabetes Type I and II, Obesity, etc. Our bodies are too
acidic. This is a result of our poor diet practices and emotional
stress and more. When our bodies are too acidic, our cells can not obtain
the oxygen they require to function optimally. Over time, this can
lead to a breakdown of function and thus creates disease.
5. Toxic body care products. Most non-organic and/or
non-natural body care products typically contain many different
chemicals. Anything you put on your skin or scalp ends up in your
body and your liver in 40 seconds! Petroleum products, sodium lauryl sulfates,
parabens (preservatives) all are common in your body care
products and end up stored in your cells and organs, unless you get them out.
6. Water polluted with chemicals.
Fluoride, pesticides, and chlorine and it's related by-products are unhealthy whether
ingested by drinking or absorbed while bathing or showering.
Chlorine and common petroleum chemicals (from detergents and more) in our water also act as
estrogen-mimickers in the body - causing hormonal disruption.
7. STRESS - Stress is a huge factor in health. It is often a hidden factor in our overall health (or lack of health). I believe it (emotional stress) is an under-lying factor for many health issues. One form of stress is financial stress - if you are in debt, worried about how the bills will be paid, you need to look at what your under-lying beliefs are - an excellent way to do that is through T. Harv Eker's book and courses (the first course is virtually free and one of the single best seminars I have ever attended - it got us saving for the first time in our lives - and it's soooo simple!!)- click here for more information.
If you feel you are "stressed out", be sure to find what works for you for relaxation: yoga, exercise, tai chi, breathwork, acupuncture, etc.
Imagine....If our body has all of that to contend with, HOW can it stay in optimum health?
What Can We
Do?
Natural and optimal health is not new - it's been around for thousands of years,
and it is so simple. I believe these are some basic principles you
can follow to Embrace Health. In addition to these suggestions,
explore the information and products offered in this website.
1. Get plenty of fresh air
2. Drink plenty of pure, clean water throughout the
day
Your brain is 94% water and it rehydrates every 24 hours. It can
only rehydrate with water. Have a headache? Reach for some purified water!
3. Get sunshine
Certain biochemical reactions (like Vitamin D production) only occur in our body in the
presence of sunshine.
4. Exercise
Get out, find something you enjoy and move around. Movement
helps the body remove toxins through your lymph system and sweat. It moves fluids and oxygen and
stimulates the body.
5. Have a foundation of nature's food in your diet
Add concentrated whole food supplements in your diet. Try to eat organic foods as much as possible, especially meat and dairy products. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables
every day - raw fruits and vegetables are very important. Rule of
thumb - if it's manmade, eat very little of it. If it's
made by nature, eat plenty of it.
6. Healthy relationships
Relationships are nutritious. They create happiness and
well-being. Also, help you neighbor, friend or community. Health
is Kindness and Kindness is Health.
7. Passion, joy and happiness What is yours?
8. Keep your body slightly alkaline, get your required nutrients, and keep toxins to a
minimum
9. Use non-toxic body care products
To start, eat super-foods laden with fully absorbable nutrition like FrequenSea in addition to fruits and vegetables. Also eat clean, non-processed organic foods and use non-toxic body care products.
